Cash's 2nd Birthday

So this was a fun filled week. Earlier this week one of my oldest friend's Lana came up to the valley for her son's birthday which we celebrated at her mom's. I haven't seen Lana in like 5 or 6 years and her family was like a second family to me in High School so it was really nice to catch up. The fun part is, she also just had a baby girl in October so we both have a 2 year old boy and a new baby girl.
Also this week I went back to work..boo... but actually it's been pretty nice to see everyone again and get out of the house. Kam seems to be having a hard time though because Brandon says she is fussy most of the time... and that makes me sad and want to be there with her but it's good for her to have Daddy time also. This is Davin and Cash enjoying their cupcakes. They were delicious!

And this is (obviously) Kami sleeping... its too precious. It's so funny how babys sleep with their arms up like that. Its also funny their arms just reach the top of their heads! :)

Kameryn's Room & Happenings

So I am finally finished with Kam's room and I love it. I am really proud of it mostly because I (with some help from Brandon) made all the decorations by myself... from putting up the vinyl stickers up on the wall, painting her shelves, the flower picture, her bow holder, and her name sign and frames (I haven't put pictures in them yet). I even took that picture of her feet. Hope you think its cute too and feel free to steal the ideas! I know without help I wouldn't be as creative.

Davin had his first real dentist appointment last week. We went to ABC Pediatric Dental and he did really good. He wouldn't lay down to let her clean his teeth because he thought he was getting a shot, but he did let me hold him to do it. After he warmed up he did really great letting them take X-Rays, the assistant was really surprised since usually 2 year olds never let them get them. He was just excited to get pictures taken of his teeth. Overall everything is looking really good, he has no cavities or anything, which I was really nervous of since he wouldn't go to sleep without his milk... But after we got home and told him the dentist said he could only have water and bedtime, he didn't even put up a fuss. It was like a totally different kid, he just took the water which he's never done before. So Kameryn will be 6 weeks old tomorrow, so sad, she's getting out of the newborness and even starting to smile on purpose here and there. And let me tell you this, she is getting so fat I love it! She has like 4 rolls on her little thighs and her 0-3 month clothes are getting too small (A lot of it is because she's tall). It's really ironic because she eats every 3-4 hours whereas Davin ate like every 2 hours and he still fit in newborns at a month. Last weekend we went to my mom's and this is my brother Shane and Davin sledding in their yard. They had a lot of fun after Davin realized Shane wasn't going to let him fall. I have to go back to work this week and it was nice going up there because we haven't been to their house for like 7 months since I work weekends.
I just think this is a cute picture. She always is holding her hands like that. Now so you know how big she is... at one month and 2 days she weighed 10 lbs 6 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.. I can't believe she's already gained 3 pounds!!

For Jess

I Am Always With You

When I am gone, release me, let me go.

I have so many things to see and do,
You mustn't tie yourself to me with too many tears,

But be thankful we had so many good years.

I gave you my love, and you can only guess
How much you've given me in happiness.

I thank you for the love that you have shown,
But now it is time I traveled on alone.

So grieve for me a while, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
That it is only for a while that we must part,
So treasure the memories within your heart.

I won't be far away for life goes on.

And if you need me, call and I will come.

Though you can't see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you soft and clear

And then, when you come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and a "Welcome Home".

Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep by Mary Elizabeth Frye

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)

I wish I could say I have never lost a friend. I wish I could say that of the people I have lost that they were old and happy. Unfortunately that hasn't been the case in my life. I lost my first friend when I was only 13 and when I did another friend gave me a poem to help while I was grieving. I have found trying to remember the good times and thinking of what they have fulfilled while they were with us helps me... although it usually is harder in the beginning.

I found these poems help me think positively this way and hope that although our friend may been gone, I hope he is happier than when he were here.

It's Already been 3 weeks!!

So I can't believe Kameryn is already 3 weeks old, it is so depressing. And so far in the last 3 weeks she has just grown before my eyes. She's starting to look more like her own self, rather than a girly replica of Davin. She's pretty much grown out of newborn clothing and at her 2 week visit she had already gained back what she lost at the hospital plus 6 ounces, and had grown 3/4 an inch. She is also quite active and holds her head up pretty well. Unfortunately the acid reflux stage is starting so I really have to watch everything I eat. It seems like ALL my fav foods are on the no-no list..like um CHOCOLATE, and BEANS (all who know me know I absolutely love mexican food), soda, and dairies. It totally sucks, but I hate to see her in pain so I'll suffer through eating bland food. Davin is still doing pretty good with her but doesn't understand she is really fragile. He also I think doesn't like the fact that he has to sleep in his room when Kam gets to sleep in ours along with the dogs. So lately he's crawling into our bed in the middle of the night.

I only have 3 weeks left until I go back to work! Surprisingly though, I don't mind really, I miss my friends and am feeling pretty good. Brandon went back to work yesterday too, leaving me alone with the kids. It went better than I thought, but Davin really didn't want to take a nap; it took 3 hours to get him to stop playing and actually go to sleep! Today me and Kam went to lunch with Jacquie and her girls for her birthday. It was great, I've really missed hanging out with them and everyone else.

So here's some more pics from the last week or so. Davin is in this stage where he likes to dress up in random clothes like this fisher's hat and snowboots. He reminds me a lot of the kid in the movie Big Daddy. This is when we first brought Kam home. Davin loves giving her kissesLook at those cheeks! She's getting to be a such a chunker, I love it!Davin really wanted to snuggle with his lil sisSo on the way home from getting pictures taken Dav decided to take the cheese from his cheese and crackers and smear the cheese all over his head. It was hilarious so I thought I'd share his goofiness.

It's Finally Happened

Yep, It's finally happened. I caved in to the blogging world after months of pressure by Lisa... heh. So I guess I'll start with a little about myself and my family. I'm married to the same guy I've been with since High School.... we've been together seven years to be exact, though it doesn't really seem that long, and we've actually only been married for a year and a half. His name is Brandon (if ya didn't know) and we have two beautiful kids; Davin Taylor and Kameryn Saige. Davin is two and a half now, born June 9, 2006.. it's so crazy how time flies. I realized how big he has gotten when we welcomed Kameryn on December 16. He has actually done a lot better than I thought he would with his new sister, he only was jealous a few days... now he is super protective and really loving. He doesn't care to give me kisses anymore, just Kam. Personality wise, he is quite the wild and crazy kid, and takes lots of patience. When I start getting frustrated with his loud and hyperness, I just sit back and think, Mom always said I will have a kid like me...which he is, so I just gotta laugh and realize I must've driven my parents insane! Plus he is quite the little charmer and already has all the girls wrapped around his finger. And although Kameryn is only 2 1/2 weeks old, she has a little personality already. She is a very calm baby who loves to snuggle. She also has a very high pitch girly squeal that's really cute. There's no mistaking she's a girl when you hear it. I just know she's gonna be a girly girl. As for my hubby, he likes to snowboard, fish, hike, camp, etc. He is also the best dad and husband ever. God knows, I can be hard to handle sometimes. He really helped me a lot through my pregnancy with Kam, it was pretty rough and I am very thankful to have him.. Now I can't forget our other kids.. Blade and Roxie, they are our dogs. Blade is a brindle Boxer and Roxie is a Golden Retriever. So together we make a happy family of 6... unless you count our fish and our neighbors cat. We bought our house in good ol' Hyrum two years ago and it's been good ever since. So now that I have my family built, hopefully I can go back to school next. Who knows with this recession... :) I guess that's it for now.... with added pics so everyone can see my adorable baby girl
